Obituary
In Honorable Memory of Dr. Hubertus Rechberg
Dr. Hubertus Rechberg, founder of Valley Electronics, passed away on September 24, 2019, at the age of 71, surrounded by his family. As long-term managing director of the family business and pioneer in the development of fertility trackers, he leaves far-reaching marks in the company as well as in the entire femtech industry. Rechberg was at the same time a businessman and an inventor, and always a step ahead of his time, having developed the fertility trackers Baby-Comp, Lady-Comp, and Pearly since the 1980s. These devices allowed women more freedom and self-determination while monitoring their cycles naturally. Thanks to his far-sighted entrepreneurial thinking, his demand-driven actions and his innovative ideas, Rechberg is highly respected and greatly appreciated not only by employees, customers and business partners. His family, his employees and the health of women were especially near and dear to his heart - a valuable foundation on which Natalie Rechberg-Egly, managing director and eldest daughter, and her husband Collin Egly can continue the family business. They continue to provide millions of women around the world with fertility trackers that provide a natural, reliable and accurate method of cycle monitoring. We hold his memory in the highest esteem.
History
The very basis for the legend of LADY-COMP® was laid in 1983 by Dr. Hubertus Rechberg in Murnau on Staffelsee, Bavaria. Back then, the graduated economist had an idea about the most natural thing in the world, as his wife had problems with side effects of the anti-baby pill and then suffered from salpingitis due to the coil. The common natural regulation methods seemed too unsafe for the inventive university leaver. He thought “If computers can play chess, they can also compute the female cycle,” and a great business idea was born. In 1986, Hubertus Rechberg founds Valley Electronics GmbH and takes a team of gynaecologists, electronics engineers, and software specialists on board.
Important suppliers throughout the world then fed the electronic brain with knowledge about fertility over years, and polished the software bit by bit. Support was also provided by the Innovation Fund of the Berlin Senate and the Federal Ministry of Research and Technology, who were all actively fostering the project. Development work took three years before the first LADY-COMP® was market-ready in 1986. Eight years of intense information work later, the company starts to write black figures, and LADY-COMP® becomes the synonym of natural cycle tracking around the world. Today LADY-COMP®/pearly® cycle computers are used by millions of women worldwide.

Our ambassadors
Over the years, the number of prominent LADY-COMP® aficionados has increased considerably. For reasons of discretion, we have never asked them for an official statement. However, some celebrities have offered to do so unprompted. One of them is:
The Canadian-American singer/songwriter and mother Alanis Morissette. She is well-known for her self-determined lifestyle and great commitment to issues such as global warming. Very sympatico, we must say. Here are her experiences with LADY-COMP®: Her experiences
